My name is Todd Swezey and I’m the owner and InterNACHI certified home inspector of Black Dog Home Inspections. I named my company Black Dog because I have a big black dog and nothing gets past him. He’s always observant, exploring, and watching everything around him, which is how I approach each home inspection. In my free time, I enjoy flying and building airplanes, home renovations, and spending time outdoors playing tennis, surfing, traveling and boating.
I started my career in the military and was an officer in the Air Force until 1990. After my time in the Air Force, I became a real estate agent specializing in property management and worked as a remodeler and contractor. I became interested in home inspections while working on many home renovation projects over the next several years.
Renovating properties helped me realize the need for qualified home inspectors to help homebuyers get to know their homes. A quality home inspection is critical for homebuyers to make an informed decision, and I chose to use my experience and become a licensed home inspector to serve my community.
In 1995, I began my home inspecting career. Over the past 21 years, I’ve helped many families through the homebuying process. As your home inspector, I’ll point out any problems with your property so you know what you’re getting into and are able to make an educated decision on your new home. I will give you my best advice based on my years of experience and training.
My goal is to be a resource for you and build a relationship lasting beyond your first home inspection.
I look forward to helping you with your next home. Please contact me today and let’s work together on your next residential inspection!
